Just like the people of Ghana, general people are extremely friendly in Togo as well and you will be humbled by their hospitality. But, there is real poverty in Togo and you will soon realize that you are far richer and more fortunate than most local people you meet. You will probably attract your fair share of souvenir hawkers and beggars, but try and take the time to meet ordinary people going about their day to day business too. The experience will be worth it. Don't be afraid to step out of your house, just take some precautions.
Weather in Togo
The climate of Togo is tropical and there are two main seasons: the wet and the dry seasons. North of Togo experiences its rainy season from March to November while South Togo experiences its rainy season from April to mid-November. The tropical climate of Togo is relatively mild for its latitude. The harmattan, a dry desert wind, blows in north-east Togo from December to March, lowering the humidity and causing hot days and cool nights in northern part of Togo

STAESA’s combo volunteering program allows you to explore so many countries in Africa while impacting lives and immersing oneself in the unique culture of Africa. You as individual or with your family or with your friends can choose to volunteer in more than two countries and still pay very less program fees. Together with our volunteers we design the program.
My Gap year
STAESA’s Gap year volunteer program is a semester or full year academics break while pursuing experiential learning that equips you with valuable life skills and encourages personal development . This program enables you to discover yourself and consider what kind of education or carrier you want to pursue, while having a positive impact on the people you meet.

STAESA’s group volunteering involves activity as a group, whether with friends, family, colleagues. acquaintances or companies. Our program involves a specific new project with a set time frame, or with our ongoing commitment. Are you ready to get yourself dirty and to improve upon your building skills? We are looking for more volunteers and interns to put up shelters. Join us in Togo to do real construction work. STAESA is busy constructing an orphanage and we really need more hands here. Language requires is French or English.

The need to empower women in Togo is very important. The poverty among the women in Togo is very serious hence the need for STAESA to establish women empowerment program in Togo to eradicate poverty among women, create a sustainable jobs via training and education and giving the women the opportunity to be economically independent.

We are looking for more volunteers and interns to help in the media houses in Togo. STAESA is working with a net work if media houses who are really doing great work in Togo. You will be working with wonderful men and women of media in the radio stations, new papers, Christian news papers and magazines.
